The Insurer’s Loss Control Institute is an educational institution that provides training in the principles and practices of loss control for the insurance industry—because “superior underwriting depends on superior loss control.”
The Institute serves insurance industry professionals and qualified newcomers wishing to become independent loss control service providers or field representatives.
It was founded in 2002 by Alexander & Schmidt, a leading loss control and risk assessment provider that recognized the need for specialized loss control education. For the past quarter century, A&S has been well known for the quality of its loss control services. A&S is headquartered in Freeport, Maine.
Get Started In A Rewarding New Career
The Institute’s courses are offered several times a year in Maine and elsewhere. They introduce students to loss control inspection and reporting for property and casualty insurance coverage through a combination of case studies, presentations, printed materials, and lectures.
ILCI students learn the real-world skills needed to pursue a satisfying career in loss control. It’s no wonder today’s ILCI graduates are hard at work throughout the United States.
